In this series of lessons, we will explore the process for tracking our camera movements to integrate a text logo into a live action scene.
We start out by tracking and solving the camera to map out the motion of the camera from the live action plate. We then bring in an OBJ file containing a simple text based logo, which we use as our 3D image. Then, we proceed to lighting and compositing the text with our background.
We learn tricks for getting a better camera solve and how to get the most control out of the lighting system in NUKE. We also learn how to color correct the final composite to give it the cinematic feel of blue tinted blacks and yellow tinted whites. This tutorial is for you if you are interested in matchmoving and want to do a quick project that will get you fast results.

Duration: 1h 47m | Video: AVC (.mp4) 1280×720 15fps | Audio: AAC 32KHz 2ch
Genre: eLearning | Level: Intermediate | Language: English

Welcome to Volume 2 of the 2D Racing Game Series in Unity. In this volume you’ll learn how to create your own sprites to be imported into Unity.
We’ll start by setting up the parameters for our sprite sheet in Photoshop. Following this we’ll begin the process of creating the sprites for our game’s vehicle by sketching out its design. From here we’ll use a layered process of constructing the vehicle and explore how to create multiple iterations of the vehicle’s sprites.
Next we’ll learn how we can create track tiles that can be arranged in Unity to create a custom race track. In addition we’ll also discuss how we can create other game assets and make sure that our sprites visually read at a smaller size. Finally we’ll learn how to populate our sprite sheet and save out an alpha channel.

Digital-Tutors – Automotive Modeling in Maya | 3.38GB
Duration: 6h 24m | Video: AVC (.mp4) 1280×720 15fps | Audio: AAC 32KHz 2ch

Computer generated cars are a staple of film and commercial projects. Whether the parts all fly together before our eyes in a commercial meant to show off superior engineering, or the car is tossed around by gigantic creatures in a feature film, there is a need to create 3D automotive models.
The different parts of a car present specific challenges but also provide certain advantages. The workflow for creating a car can vary, from using NURBS curves and surfaces to box modeling. In this tutorial we’ll use an edge modeling method to begin building our Audi R8.
Once we’re happy with the shape, we can cut the panels apart and add thickness. We’ll cover methods for maintaining hard edges and smooth contours. We’ll cover the common polygon modeling tools as well as some new tools in the Modeling Toolkit that will make certain tasks much easier.
It’s a big project, but we’ll go step by step so that by the end, you’ll have created a 3D car from scratch and you’ll have the knowledge you need to build your own vehicle.

Digital-Tutors – Creative Perspective Techniques for Artists in Photoshop | 1.08GB
Duration: 1h 44m | Video: AVC (.mp4) 1280×720 15fps | Audio: AAC 32KHz 2ch
Genre: eLearning | Level: Intermediate | Language: English

By utilizing the perspective techniques covered in this training you will be able to strengthen the perspective in your own compositions; whether you’re drawing, painting, or working in 3D.
We’ll begin this process with a review of basic perspective and how it can allow us to create forms accurately in space. From there we’ll focus on how to draw a pyramid, an ellipse, and how to proportionately and successively place objects in space using one-point perspective.
Following this, we’ll explore some intermediate lessons on two-point perspective where we’ll learn how to create a cylinder, draw a house, and a visualization exercise on how we can add three dimensional forms into a photo. Finally we’ll learn how to draw from a bird’s eye point of view using three-point perspective and end with another visualization exercise where we’ll learn how to place a three dimensional form accurately into a photo.

Digital-Tutors – Quick Start to Rigging in 3ds Max: Volume 1 | 1.52GB
Duration: 2h 50m | Video: AVC (.mp4) 1280×720 15fps | Audio: AAC 32KHz 2ch
Genre: eLearning | Level: Beginner | Language: English

Welcome to the Quick Start to Rigging in 3ds Max. Quick Starts are a series of specially-constructed courses meant to be followed in sequence and include valuable exercises to reinforce learned concepts.
The lesson format for these Quick Starts will be similar to other Digital-Tutors introductory training. We’ll go through 3ds Max’s rigging tools in a very methodical way, making sure to cover the tools and techniques that are most important in enabling you to get up and running quickly. Each volume of a Quick Start will build upon the previous volume, enabling us to progressively build up a complex project into a finished state.
In this initial volume, we’ll cover the basics of getting started with the rigging tools in 3ds Max. We’ll learn how to create bones and work with Inverse Kinematics. We’ll cover skinning tools and ways to improve our deformations with time-saving techniques. We’ll also learn about constraints, how to set up control objects, and how to build systems with the Reaction Manager.
While building a project together, you’ll be provided with valuable knowledge, and the real power comes from being able to take the techniques you’ve learned and apply them in a different way to your own work. With this in mind, you’ll be presented with an assignment immediately following each volume. These assignments will challenge you to take the skills that you’ve learned in a particular volume and apply them to a different asset.
These courses are designed to be taken in sequence so we really encourage you to start with this volume and proceed all the way through to Volume 5, all so you can take advantage of the periodic assignments along the way to get the full learning experience.

Throughout this series, we’ve covered many huge topics (retouching, adjustments, collage, etc.). In this final installment, we fill in the gaps between big thoughts with the more subtle concepts that are essential to taking full control of Photoshop. This is the stuff you rarely see taught, but true experts use on a daily basis.

I’ll start by revealing a bunch of hidden and hard to find features that you probably don’t know exist because you have to type odd keyboard shortcuts or go through other loopholes to find them. I’ll then show you how far you can push your adjustments before they start to lower the quality of the image. We’ll do that by popping the hood in Photoshop to reveal how those adjustments may be harming the underlying integrity of your image.

I’ll then show you how to manipulate Photoshop’s features to get them to do things they were not designed to do. This way, you can extend Photoshop further than even the programmers envisioned. I’ll also talk about many of the little features that never get covered in classes but are overly useful. Finally, we’ll dive into a few geeky features that are not for the faint of heart like variables, apply image and calculations.

Whether you’re still fairly new to Photoshop or you’re an advanced user, there is sure to be techniques in this class you will want to add to your mental toolbox.

One of the most integral parts of filmmaking happens after the camera stops rolling. In fact, the way that you edit your footage together is what tells—and sells—the story to your audience. Learn how to examine a script, review your material, and shape raw footage into a work of art in this course with longtime film and TV veteran Norman Hollyn.
Start with an overview of concepts like the rule of threes, review a sampling of footage from films past and present, and then dive into script analysis. Find out when and when not to make cuts, how to collaborate with clients and directors during recutting, and how to ground the emotional backdrop for your piece with music and sound. Norman closes with a look at adapting to different genres and filmic styles.

Exploring the history of video editing
Controlling what the audience sees
Identifying the logline
Performing script and scene analysis
Coming up with an editing plan
Cutting from on-camera to off-camera action
Understanding the value of recutting

Genre: Photography | Language: EnglishWhether you want to know how to become a professional commercial photographer or how to become a professional photographer in general, the quickest way to start making money with your camera may be wedding photography. Our Fstoppers tutorial How To Become a Professional Commercial Wedding Photographer is finally here! Lee Morris and I have spent over 3 years planning and 2 years filming and editing this tutorial on all things wedding photography.

The goal behind this 14 tutorial was to create the most comprehensive resource on everything it takes to create compelling wedding images as well as the tools needed to start and run a successful wedding photography business. No matter if you are brand new to photography or if you are already shooting weddings professionally, this 14 hour tutorial will teach you everything we know about wedding photography so you can either start your own business from scratch or take your existing business to the next level.

Why Wedding Photography?

As we explain in the promo video above, wedding photography pretty much fell into both of our laps. I believe many photographers have the same wrongfully biased opinion about wedding photography as I did when I first picked up a camera. The idea of dealing with dramatic bridezillas, going hours without food or drink, and having to take cheesy photographs all day was not my idea of a good day at work. But after shooting a few weddings, I found that wedding photography was incredibly fun, creative, and way more stress free than I ever imagined. In fact, what I realized was I was taking the best photographs the bride and groom had ever had taken of themselves and their friends during the happiest day of their lives. And the reason I was there in the first place was because they loved me as a person and valued my creativity behind a camera. What originally started as a dreaded favor I did for Lee Morris quickly became my passion, obsession, full time job, and eventually my career.

The most interesting thing about wedding photography is that there is a market in every single city. I believe wedding photography offers an amazing opportunity for anyone interested in photography as a hobby or career; through wedding photography, you can become 100% self employed as a full time photographer!

What We Hope To Share:

Our goal with this tutorial isn’t to make everyone a millionaire or turn you into some sort of rockstar wedding photographer. Lee and I aren’t either of those things. What we want to teach you is how you can take better photographs, start your own business, and hopefully shave off at least three years of trial and error during those initial startup years.
